Jephin was born to Joseph and Saramma in 29/10/1998
in a village known as Mangua, in Edukki Dist.
of Kerala, India. Jephin and his brother Stephin
are born to Joseph in his second marriage while
the first wife is still alive in whom he has
also some children. Joseph who is a heavy drunkard
used to beat up Saramma and destroyed everything.
One day she was admitted in the hospital due
to the physical harassment and abuse of Joseph.
After getting better she never returned to Joseph,
but to her own home. Joseph who is left with
his two children used to take them also to toddy
shop. People of his community advised him not
to do this and asked him to keep the children
in an orphanage. That is how Jephin and Stephin
came to our orphanage. Jephin is studying in
6th standard.
